Protecting British Values – The fight against extremism and radicalisation
Radicalisation and extremism can pose a serious threat to any civilised society and in Britain’s case they may challenge and threaten those values that underpin society itself.
For this very reason it is important to try and understand the issues associated with radicalisation and extremism.
This first session briefly investigates the language associated with extremism and the nature of the threats that currently exist.
This session is part of a package of 5 separate and inter-related resources investigates the nature of extremism; the power of radicalisation; the use and abuse of propaganda; the establishment of British values as a cornerstone of community cohesion and the personal skills required to prevent radicalisation:
